Drive or fly back from South Africa to UK?  For us having fallen in love with the African continent it was not a difficult decision.

We hope to record our journey through Africa and into Europe using this website.  None of us are great journalists or webmasters (although Sonja will claim otherwise), but we aim to provide a candid view of the places we visit and our experiences which we hope you may find interesting and of use for fellow Overlanders.

We left, as planned, albeit a little late on Saturday 27 June - just as a pride of Lions Supporters invaded Pretoria and arrived in Chester on Tuesday 6 April.  It’s been a great trip; we’re planning another one for when the girls leave home!!
